Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu (born 2 July 1991), known professionally as Burna Boy, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, rapper and dancer. He is one of the biggest and most successful African artists.
He rose to prominence in 2012 after releasing "Like to Party", the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E (2013). In 2017, Burna Boy signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally. His third studio album Outside marked his major-label debut. In 2019, he won Best International Act at the 2019 BET Awards, and was announced as an Apple Music Up Next artist.
His fourth studio album African Giant was released in July 2019; it won Album of the Year at the 2019 All Africa Music Awards and was nominated for Best World Music Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. He was awarded the African Artiste of the year at the 2020 VGMA's. In 2020, his album Twice as Tall was nominated for the same category at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards, making him the first Nigerian with back-to-back nominations at the Grammys.
Edrisah Musuuza, known professionally as Eddy Kenzo, is a Ugandan singer and music executive who is a member of Big Talent Entertainment. He received international attention after the release of his 2014 single, "Sitya Loss" and an accompanying viral video that featured the Ghetto Kids. In total, he has released 4 albums, including most recently, Roots, in 2018. Kenzo has also won numerous national and international awards, including a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award in 2018, a BET Award in 2015, and multiple All Africa Music Awards.He was the first Ugandan artist to win the BET award in 2015.
Kenzo began making music using his stage name, Eddy Kenzo, in 2008. That year, he released his first song titled "Yannimba" with Mikie Wine. In 2010, he released another single, "Stamina".The song was used as a theme song by many politicians during the 2011 Ugandan general election At the Pearl of Africa Music Awards in 2011, Kenzo was given the Best New Artist award. Kenzo also established his Big Talent Entertainment record label early on in his career. He continues to serve as a member of that venture.
Kenzo continued releasing new music in 2012. In 2013, he held his first concert at the Kyadondo Rugby Club that year in support of the track, "Kamunguluze". Kenzo's first major international breakthrough came with 2014's "Sitya Loss" and the accompanying album of the same name. A YouTube video featuring a group of Ugandan children known as the Ghetto Kids dancing to the song went viral after it was shared on social media by record executive, Sean Combs. Kenzo also started a petition to earn the children an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. As of 2019, the video has accumulated over 22 million views on YouTube. After the release of "Sitya Loss" and the album of the same name, Kenzo went on a brief United States tour with dancehall musician, DeMarco.
In January 2015, Kenzo performed at the opening ceremonies of that year's Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea alongside Akon.He also performed at the tournament final.Around that time, he produced a remix to his 2014 single, "Jambole", with a guest appearance from Nigerian singer, Kcee. In June 2015, Kenzo was honored with the BET Award for "Viewer's Choice Best New International Artist". He was the first East African artist to win a BET Award of any kind. In July 2015, he performed at the KigaliUp Music Festival in Rwanda's capital. In October of that year, he released a remixed version of his song, "Mbilo Mbilo", featuring Nigerian singer, Niniola. The original version of that song later appeared on the soundtrack for the 2016 film, Queen of Katwe.
In December 2015, Kenzo released the lead single, "Soraye", off of his second album, Zero to Hero. In March 2016, he went on a tour Africa, with stops in Kenya, Ivory Coast, Mali, and others. Later that month, he released Zero to Hero. Throughout the remainder of 2016, Kenzo earned a writing credit on Jidenna's "Little Bit More", was featured on the Mi Casa single "Movie Star", and won an All Africa Music Award for his "Mbilo Mbilo" remix.He also went on another US tour late in the year. In May 2017, Kenzo was named the ambassador of the Kenyan Tourism Board and was appointed to a similar role in Uganda the following year.
In July 2017, Kenzo went on a European tour ahead of the release of his third studio album, Biology, a month later. The album featured guest appearances from artists like Mani Martin, Werrason, and Mi Casa, among others. It also featured the single "Jubilation", which had an accompanying music video that won the Best East African Music Video Award at the Zanzibar International Film Festival.He would go on to win two awards at that year's All Africa Music Awards, including Best East African Male Artist. He would later donate that award along with his 2015 BET Award to the Uganda Museum in Kampala.
In March 2018, Kenzo won a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award as the "Favorite African Star." In July 2018, he performed alongside Triplets Ghetto Kids at multiple African music festivals in Canada, including Afrofest in Toronto. He also performed at the One Africa Music Festival in Dubai later in the year.In October 2018, he released his fourth studio album, Roots, which featured the single "Body Language". Kenzo also announced a 10-year anniversary concert in celebration of his time as a musical artist. The concert took place on 4 January 2019 in the Victoria ballroom of the Serena Hotel in Kampala.Leading up to the concert, Kenzo released a new music video for a song from Roots each week for two months.
In March 2019, it was announced that Kenzo would be featured alongside Triplets Ghetto Kids in an upcoming music video for American singer Chris Brown's "Back to Love". In April 2019, Kenzo released the single, "Signal" with an accompanying music video.
Augustine Miles Kelechi (born December 17, 1990), popularly known as Tekno, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter.
Tekno Miles was first signed under K-Money Entertainment. His first single titled "Holiday", was released under the imprint. With featured vocals from Davido, "Holiday" was positively accepted and gained massive airplay.
In 2012, Tekno Miles was spotted by renowned Nigerian comedian Julius Agwu at an event in Abuja, after Tekno Miles received a standing ovation following the performance of a song titled "Onye Ne Kwu", his remix of Ice Prince's "Oleku". It was at the same event he met Iyanya and Ubi Franklyn, the manager of Made Men Music Group and they became friends. Ubi and Iyanya eventually encouraged Tekno Miles to move to Lagos to further his music career.
On October 5, 2013, he signed a recording contract with Made Men Music Group, under which he released singles like "Dance" and "Anything". These singles earner him a nomination in the "Best New act of the Year" category at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards. On June 18, 2015, Tekno Miles released his hit single titled "Duro", which was produced by DJ Coublon. "Duro" was positively received both in Africa and in the US. A remix which featured Phyno and Flavour N'abania was released on November 16, 2015. It topped several charts in Nigeria and on the international scene, it peaked at number 5 on Capital XTRA's Afrobeats Chart: Top 10 for September 2015. On November 20, 2015, Tekno Miles released a single titled "Wash". The song was produced by DJ Coublon with the video directed by AJE Filmworks.
In June 2018, Tekno signed a distribution deal with Universal Music Group Nigeria (UMGN), a division of Universal Music Group in charge of West Africa, as well as the UK-based Island Records.[15] In July 2019, Tekno was featured on Beyoncé's The Lion King: The Gift soundtrack on the song "Don't Jealous Me".
In December 6, 2020, Tekno released the tracklist for his long-awaited debut album, 'Old Romance.' The 14-track album has been teased for at least four years, but Tekno finally release an album.

Micheal Taye, also known by his stage names Lij Michael or Faf, is an Ethiopian artist who is a rising star in the hip hop scene. He is one of the hip hop artists who put Ethiopian Hip hop on the Map. He was born in Addis Ababa, on February 19, 1986. He graduated from Ethiopia Andenet high school. And he had the chance to pursue higher education at Soft-net College to gain a diploma in I.T. Before stating a courier in music he worked in IT, which helped gain a lot of experience and disciple to be successful in his life. He discovered he had a passion for music when he started working as an MC appearing in musical shows organized at high education institutions. After that his passion for started to MC on many other stages while also entertaining audience with his dynamic talent laced with a spicy flavor and unique style that fuses Ethiopian and hip-hop music.
Since then Faf has made a remarkable impact on the music industry in Ethiopia. Faf is known for being one of the originators of hip-hop music genre in Ethiopia with unique singing style and exceptionally gripping performance.In early 2016, Lij Michael released his debut album 'Zaraye Yehun Nege' compromised of 15 songs that are all hip hop genre. It is one of the first widely accepted in hip hop albums in Ethiopia. He wrote all the lyrics to his songs which shows he is not only a performer but also a talented song writer.With his captivating performances he has been able to tour all over Europe, to promote his first album which turned out to be a huge hit. His main goal was to promote Ethiopian hip hop to the world.He has collaborated with up and coming artists like Sami Dan and Bisrat Surafel. His ability to rap in such a high energy and in captivating manner has put him as front runner as one of the best rappers that Ethiopia has to offer. He was also on coke studio Africa season 4 which a music show which has several artists from Africa collaborate and work together to create amazing music.
He has been nominated for an MTV music award AMAs for African musicians, which helped him cement is status as one of the best rappers in Ethiopia. He also has such a close relationship with his fans which is not that the norm in the Ethiopian music industry. This has helped him garner a huge and loyal fan base. He is currently working on his second album which will surely be a spectacle to witness.

Nasibu Abdul Juma (born 2 October 1989), popularly known by his stage name Diamond Platnumz, and often referred to as "Simba" (meaning Lion in Swahili) or "The King of Bongo-Flava" is a Tanzanian bongo flava recording artist, actor, dancer, philanthropist and a businessman from Tandale, Dar es Salaam.
He is the founder and CEO of WCB Wasafi Record Label, Zoom production, Wasafi TV, a major Tanzanian media outlet, and Wasafi Fm, one of Tanzania's most widely listed radio stations. He has had several hit songs including "Number One" featuring Nigerian artist Davido, and African Beauty featuring Omarion. His significant contribution to African music continues to be widely recognised at the public level with him being awarded numerous awards, from Channel O, MTV Awards, Soundcity, Kilimnjaro Music Awards, Headies, Afrima, Afrimma, Kora, AEA, the HiPipo Music Awards and more.
Diamond Platnumz is considered one of the most influential artist's in Africa, being the first African artist to reach a combined total of 900 million. He is also widely regarded at current to be the most loved and decorated artiste in East and Central Africa. In 2013, according to Tanzania's mobile phone companies he was the best selling artist of ringtones. Diamond is also one of the top earners in the African Great Lakes region music industry.
Diamond is jointly managed by Sallam Ahmed Sharaff (Sallam SK) a.k.a. Don Mendez, Hamisi Shaban Taletale(Babu Tale) and Saidi Hassan Mlinge (Mkubwa Fella) from the Tanzanian music.
Mukudzeyi Mukombe (born July 4, 1987), who performs under the stage name Jah Prayzah, is a Zimbabwean contemporary musician and lead member of the band Third Generation. He is popularly referred to by fans and media as "Musoja", the Shona word for "soldier", a name he earned mostly because of his signature band uniform of military regalia. The name "Jah Prayzah" comes from his name, "Mukudzeyi", which means "Praise Him". Mukomana murefu iyeyi.
Mukombe's first experience with composing music was during his early years of high school. He started to record dancehall and reggae tracks with his friends with some tracks creating a vibe in the suburb, but failing to hit the national music scene. He later recorded contemporary music and afro jazztracks with DJ Thando and other local producers, releasing singles such as "Sorry Mama" and "Seiko".
He started his career in 2005. In 2007, he released his first commercially launched album, Sungano. He went on to release two more albums, Rudo neRunyararo and Ngwarira Kuparara. The latter was commercially successful and contained the singles "Maria" and "Dande", the latter of which featured Chiwoniso Maraire. Ngwarira Kuparara was commercially successful, and he was offered a contract for the Wednesday slots at a local Harare pub called Jazz 105.
In 2013, he released his fourth album Tsviriyo and won a NAMA award for song of the Year for the song "Gotchi Gotchi". In 2014, he released Kumbumura Mhute.In the same year he won five NAMA awards and two ZIMA awards.
In 2015, he opened a new studio and released his sixth studio album, Jerusarema.
His most notable work was a collaboration with award-winning Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz on his hit song "Watora Mari", which reached over a million views on YouTube in less than a month after its release. "Watora Mari" has enjoyed massive airplay on MTV Base and Trace Africa.
On 2 November 2018, Mukombe launched his eighth studio album titled Chitubu. The album features collaborations from well known African artists such as Patoranking and Sauti Sol. In 2019, Mukombe was nominated for the Best Male Artist in Southern Africa in the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMAs).
